The Teavangelicals: Who They Are and Why They Are Important

 

On Wednesday, June 27, at 10:00 AM EDT at the National Press Club in Washington, DC, leading journalists, public opinion researchers, and public intellectuals will discuss the “Teavangelical” movement at an event hosted by the Huffington Post and Zondervan.

Panelists will explore the power and future of Teavangelicals, the evangelical Christians who make up approximately half of the Tea Party. They will debate the continued influence of these voters and discuss whether they actually pose a threat to the presidential hopes of Republican Mitt Romney. The event will include discussion of CBN journalist David Brody’s new book, The Teavangelicals: The Inside Story of How the Evangelicals and the Tea Party are Taking Back America.
