Ms. Ruiz brings to PRRI experience conducting research and working at the cross-section of religious and political organizations.
Ms. Ruiz holds a master’s degree in Ethics, Peace and Global Affairs from American University with concentrations in Gender and Religion. Her master’s practicum project “How Do Mass Atrocities End?” examined qualitative and quantitative data from over 50 episodes of mass civilian death to assess the best way to preserve lives and end conflict. She has worked for policy groups, such as the Center for American Progress, as well as national political campaigns, through which she helped to elevate voices of faith leaders. Ms. Ruiz graduated cum laude from the University of South Carolina, where she earned her BA in International Studies with a minor in Religion.
