Amber Cooper (she/they) brings a background in higher education and strategic communications to PRRI.
Amber most recently served as an Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at her alma mater, Washington and Lee University. As a director, Amber led strategic diversity and inclusion initiatives such as the Diversity and Inclusion Visit Experience (DIVE), a program geared toward underrepresented high school students with the goal of exposing them to the liberal arts college experience. She also served as a college partner representative to QuestBridge, a national college access organization for first-generation and low-income college-bound students. In her professional and personal life, Amber passionately centers and promotes the voices and experiences of historically excluded and marginalized people.
Amber graduated from Washington and Lee University in 2012 with a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications and from Boston University with an MS in Public Relations. She is currently pursuing another master’s degree in Library and Information Science from The Catholic University of America.
