The PRRI American Values Survey

The American Values Survey is an annual, nationally representative public opinion survey of American attitudes on religion, values, and politics released by PRRI in partnership with the Brookings Institution. The wide-ranging survey, which is published each fall, tracks Americans’ views on political issues, the economy, and current events, measures attitudes towards candidates ahead of elections, and gauges how Americans are experiencing changes in the country.

The 16th annual American Values Survey reveals Americans’ responses to the unprecedented actions taken so far by President Donald Trump during his second presidential term. This national survey also examines Americans’ concerns about the economy and how democracy is working, what it means to be “truly American,” and opposition to building internment camps for undocumented immigrants and allowing ICE agents to mask their identity.
